My Fine Jewellery Collection

Updating My Fine Jewellery Collection…

It’s only recently that I’ve been adding to my fine jewellery collection. It started with the Missoma horn necklace one birthday. Gradually, it added up into several other pieces over the years. One thing that I’ve realised with fine jewellery is once you get your hands on a couple of pieces, that’s it. You cannot go back.

Much like my wardrobe, I’ve been all about investing in pieces rather than going for fast fashion. It must be an age thing, ever since I turned 30 I’m just about the classic pieces. I’ve always been drawn to the more simple, neutral, French style. However, I’m no longer about stuffing my wardrobe full of clothes. I rather have some classic pieces that stand the test of time.

The same can be said for my jewellery. I’m all about just having one or two pieces rather than a collection of pieces that will tarnish over time. Pretty much every birthday or Christmas I’m asking for jewellery pieces to add to my collection. For me, it’s all about three different pieces. Necklaces, earrings and rings. Of course, when it comes to my hands, the main piece I wear is my engagement ring (still need to get a gorgeous wedding band). However, I am thinking of requesting a new one from my husband in a couple of years. Similar in style, with a gold band rather than silver. Necklaces, I’m all about the chains and simple pendants. Finally, when it comes to earrings, this is where I go nuts. I want a vast collection of studs, hoops and drops. Just some gorgeous pieces that will make my collection shine.
