Your Next Book for When You’re On the Beach…

I love summer beach reads. When I’m on holiday, I love nothing more than light escapism. I don’t want anything heavy to read, just something fun, that makes me laugh out loud. I’m not a big reader when I’m at home (I’m trying). However, when it comes to going on vacation, I love nothing more than to sit back, relax and enjoy a fresh book.

On our recent trip, I knew I would have at least a whole day where I would be poolside, so I knew I needed a good book to keep me occupied. I’m happy that the two summer beach reads I picked up did not disappoint. I devoured these books on the trip. One of them, I actually ready twice because I loved it so much (and also because I couldn’t pick up a magazine at the airport).

The first one I picked, It Happened One Summer, was perfect. It was light-hearted and funny and it has a squeal that I’m picking up just to read on the weekends. My second choice was a little deeper but just as enjoyable. I heard great things about In Five Years and it did not disappoint. It was a gorgeous read and I highly recommend it to anyone needing a book for their next holiday.
