Lighting is one of my favourite aspects of a room, but it can be one of the trickiest. Adding table lamps truly can change the look and feel of your home. I’ve recently been adding more accent table lamps around our home and they have been making such a difference!
When you’re considering table lamps for your home, it’s important to pay attention to scale. So often, I see people buy lighting that is far too small for their home, much like the rug in your home. You have to think of your table lamp as an anchor point. Be mindful of the height and the shade projection when placing the table lamp in your home. You may need to pull out your furniture to accommodate a larger shade.
This is the same for bedside lamps. You have to consider the height of your headboard when picking your lighting. I personally love going for a big base lamp, the larger the better. As you’ll see on my Instagram feed, I love making a statement with one of them.
