The Perfect Fall Scents to Set the Mood for Your Home…
Fall scents are quite possibly my favourite. Autumn candles are always the cosiest, warming and inviting. If it isn’t obvious, this time of year is my absolute favourite. I just love everything about this time of year. Also, the one thing that I love more than everything else is decorating my home for Autumn. Along with soft furnishings, fall scents are an essential part of the decor process. As I’ve spoken about on the blog and my Instagram feed, scent plays a huge part in the overall decor and feel of a home.
I’m passionate about how your scents should change with the seasons. Scents attach memories, bringing up feelings that relate to the seasons. For me, fall scents are all about warmth and feeling snug. Home has become very important to me. And during this time of year, I want to feel secure and happy in my home. My go-to fall scents are very woody. I love that warmth that comes with these types of scents. I also love deep fruity scents, apples, pomegranates and pears. If I really want to recreate that cosy at-home feel, I have to grab a smokey candle. We never turn our fire on. However, if we want to recreate that feel, lighting and burning these type of candles brings that feeling to our home.
