It’s That Gorgeous Time of The Year…

I’ve not always been the biggest wearer of summer dresses. As a resident of the UK, I’ve always seen no point in a summer wardrobe. Of course, our weather favours the cold and we have a few days of sunshine. However, this summer has been glorious and as I’m no longer in a cold office (trust me, you wear coats indoors during August in my office) I found myself in need of more summer pieces. As I’ve spoken about with my work from home uniform, I’ve been making an effort to get dressed during the week in something other than leggings. However, summer dresses have been a huge part of this wardrobe, as you would have seen on Instagram. Now, I’m not going to lie and say that every country walk I go on is sensible clothing. However, on the fewer terrain walks, a light dress is ideal for keeping cool on the walk.

DREAMY SUMMER DRESSES.

In terms of style, I favour a midi/ maxi dress with some form of a sleeve. High hemlines are no longer my thing. As for sleeves, I’ve never been comfortable with the tops of my arms. I wish I could wear a spaghetti strap and I hope that one day I’ll get there. However, for now, I’ve some amazing styles that would fit into everyone’s wardrobe. As always, everything is neutral, but there are a few pops of colours. I love a lemon/ citrus print. In my opinion, something everyone should have in their wardrobe. Finally for material, got light. I love linen but go for a mix. No one has time for that much ironing. Cotton is also great. Breathable and easy to take care of.
