A Great Start To The Day…

For the past couple of months, I have religiously been drinking this green juice every weekday. It’s so ingrained into my daily routine that I can’t start my day without it. Green juice has so many great benefits. Not only are you getting more vegetables into you than you normally would, but the green juice allows for the fast absorption of them. I have found since drinking this juice on a regular basis I have seen an increase in my energy levels, glowing skin and improvement in my digestive system.

Whilst there are many green juices out there on the market, I would always recommend you make your own. You really don’t know how much sugar people are adding to the drinks. When you’re making your own you control the ingredients and what’s going into it. I love my juicer that I use, super affordable, however, it is quite big and difficult to clean. Ideally, I’d love to invest in this compact juicer.

 

 

To make the juice, you simply blend all the veggies and fruit together and add a little liquid. I like to make mine in batch on a Sunday and it lasts me the whole week. I try to keep the fruit content as low as possible, but green apples do add a nice bit of sweetness. Sometimes I will add some ginger for a bit of spice, but it’s also really good for your digestive system. Make sure you give the fruit a wash before you juice and enjoy! I can’t wait to see who will be on the juice game with me this year…

INGREDIENTS (makes enough for one person for the week)
  • 6 green apples
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 1 packet of celery (approx. 6 celery stalks)
  • 500g of baby spinach
  • 1 carton of coconut water
  • 1 juice of a lemon (if desired)
