2019 July Goals

Because summer is finally here…

Oh my lord, how nice has this weather been this weekend? I feel like this weekend has been a complete refresh ready for the start of July. We’re heading towards the end of the year and I’m enjoying these last few weeks of sunshine before we are graced with Autumn. And with the start of every month, come my monthly goals.

For my 2019 July goals, they are very short. This month, I’m taking the pressure off myself. No pushing to achieve everything and do everything. I still want to complete a few things, but I don’t want to wear myself out before July has even begun. And with that, here are my 2019 July goals…

NO DIY PROJECTS.

Yes, you read correctly. As I mentioned in our recent Hallway makeover post, I’m planning not to do any room makeovers for a while. And I really want to promise myself that there will be no renovations throughout July. I’m even including painting in this one. Whilst I’d love to crack on with some DIY projects, they take up a lot of weekends. And in reality, I just want to relax and focus on different things. I’m still going to be looking at Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration, but I’ll only be picking up my paintbrush come August.

BLOG GLOW UP.

Another one of my July Goals is giving my blog a grown-up makeover. I relaunched the blog at the beginning of this year and I’ve been working on building this blog over the past few months. Now, I feel that the blog is ready for a glow up. I want to give my corner of the internet a refresh and purpose- if that makes sense. So I’m going to be working on things in the background, sorting things out ready. So you’ll see these efforts come to fruition later on in the year.

HEADING HOME AND HANGING WITH FRIENDS.

Not so much a monthly goal, but we are heading to Lincoln, my home town, this month for a family event. I’m excited to go back home, I love my home town and it’s nice to escape everyday life, even if it’s just for a little bit. Part of our time back in Lincoln we want to see some of our friends and that’s my goal for this month. Just to spend some more time with friends. Even if it’s hanging out over a cup of tea. Anything that just means I get to spend some real-time with my closest friends.
