The Future of the Blog

Entering a New Stage for the Blog…

I’ve been blogging for almost 10 years and with recent changes in my life, it’s time to talk about the future of the blog. You may have seen that the posts have decreased over the past couple of weeks. Quite simply put, life has taken over. I recently got a new job that has me commuting to the office. Along with this, we also have a new puppy, Dash, who is very much a handful. It’s fair to say I have a lot on my plate right now.

It’s also worth considering the new media platforms that the blog has gone to. And whilst the blog is the OG and will always be the main platform, there are other platforms that are growing faster. YouTube, for example, is gaining 80- 100 followers a week. So whilst I love the content that I’m creating on the blog, logically it makes sense to give extra time and attention to the other platforms.

There have also been some things behind the scenes that have been going on. Over the last couple of months, I’ve seen my mental health get worse, very slowly. Combine that with the one year anniversary of my grandma’s passing, it’s just not been a great time for me. I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is that has caused me to not be fine, but here we are.

The Future of the Blog.

So I’m taking the next few weeks to reset. Whilst I wanted to do some vlogging, I need a little break. I’ve been enjoying getting the home into an organised state. I’ve also been working on myself, doing things to take away the negative energy and bring the new in.

I’m also going to stick to posting two times a week on the blog. It may pick up again, but right now, it’s the happy medium of allowing me to be creative whilst not taking up too much time.

This is very much a new phase of my life and I’m looking forward to taking you guys along with me. So thank you for your patience, I’m truly grateful for all your support.
