Creating My Dream Wardrobe Space for My Home…
I’m so excited to show off my renter-friendly Ikea Pax wardrobe makeover. Ever since I started this primary bedroom makeover, I’ve been waiting to see this particular DIY project come to life. Turns out, it could have been better than I imagined.
Though it’s not my total dream wardrobe situation (that involves a whole room and a few more units), it’s perfect for what we need now. I wanted to make sure that these units could be transferred over to our next home, so being renter-friendly was a must.
The Before.
Now, when it came to our previous wardrobe storage, it wasn’t terrible. We had a previously used Ikea Pax double unit, shared between my husband and me. That was the problem. We shared it. And whilst I love my husband, his lack of organisation on his side was a battle that was starting to get frustrated with. So separating our spaces seemed the most logical thing to do.
So I started to plan out the layout, incorporating this alcove corner and the length of the wall that would otherwise become unused space. Having a bit too much fun on the planner, my renter-friendly Ikea Pax wardrobe was born.

The results are amazing. My husband now has the double with drawers and all the things he needs. Meanwhile, I finally have a tall dedicated hanging space for coats and dresses. I also have drawers and a styling space for my blazers which is a moment. Finally, I have a double rack for my everyday clothes.
I cannot wait to do a more dedicated organisation video and post to show off the whole space. Scroll down to see the full makeover videos or check out my YouTube channel.
