Completing Part-One of Our Living Room Makeover…
I’m so happy that we’ve finally completed the latest updates to our living room. This room has been a long-term project that I’ve been desperate to makeover for a while but the opportunity hasn’t quite presented itself. As I’ve previously mentioned, getting the new sofa was the starting point. Our DIY sofa console table was this middle point. So, to truly finish everything off, we just needed a few. things to complete the space.
As I mentioned in my most recent webisode, I was looking to grab a few additional decor pieces to complete the console table. I’m still looking for a few more things, but I’m enjoying the search. What I really wanted was to update the artwork. I had the same pieces hanging on the walls that was quite modern compared to the rest of the pieces in our home, particularly as we moved through the rental renovations.
So as part of the updates to our living room, I made changing the artwork a top priority. I went with some classical oil artwork prints and I love them. Complete with the same frames that we used in our bathroom makeover. The whole space looks and feels great. The room looks bigger, brighter and cosier.
As mentioned in the title, this is just part one of the living room makeover. There’s still a few more things that I want to do to the space, but we have a pressing project that needs working on before we finish off this space. This includes a larger rug, remaking over the fireplace and finding that final piece to go at the end of the chaise. For now, this living room works perfectly for us and I’m loving relaxing and unwinding in my new favourite spot.
