Giving This Corner a New Lease of Life…
My living room built-ins were crying for a makeover and some new interior styling. They have been pretty much the same way since I built them during our living room makeover. And with a new year and a whole new sense of interior style that I’m bringing to the home, I wanted a refresh.
Something that I’m wanting to bring more into our home is personal photographs. I love the idea of having seasonal memories, changing up family photos depending on the time of year. I saw some inspiration on Pinterest that had them group together on a side and I had to recreate them.

Another aspect of the styling was incorporating some close storage with these seagrass baskets. They provide storage for all the unwanted items that I don’t want on show. Plus, a hiding place for gifts from the other half.
Along with the photos frames, I also added in our photo albums to our shelves. They have been hiding in a cupboard and I’m hoping to add to the collection this year so it was time to get them out and have them ready to show the world. Part of styling my living room built-ins is about personal touches and elements and I certainly think I’ve achieved this here.
