DIY Faux Christmas Wreath

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year…

I do love this time of year. One of my favourite crafts to do during the season is to create a DIY faux Christmas wreath. I love creating something seasonal for this time of year and this craft can be used time and time again each year.

The reason why I decided to create my own DIY faux Christmas wreath was due to the fact I couldn’t find the perfect one for our home. We have gone in a different direction with our decor this year. I wanted something that showed the people what our Christmas theme is this year. Even before they entered our home.

DIY Faux Christmas Wreath.

This project is essentially two parts. The first is creating the base. You can use willow or moss to bulk out the wreath frame, but I prefer going straight onto it. Once you’ve established the foliage, it’s time to add the decor. For me, I decided to go with gold berries, dried oranges and cinnamon sticks. I also completed the wreath with the same ribbon that is decorated around our Christmas tree this year.
