Which Type of Coffee Table Books to Style in Which Rooms
The Complete Guide to Placement…
It’s no secret that I love a good coffee table book. And when it comes to styling them, I have rules on which type of coffee table books to style where. Coffee table books are a great way of incorporating your personality into your interior styling. However, you want to be considerate of what type of books you put where. You want the books to be coherent with the rest of the room.
Here are the type of coffee table books to style in which rooms.
The Living Room.
Probably one of the first places I started decorating with coffee table books is in the living room. For starters, my living room has all the surfaces for decorating with coffee table books: the coffee table, built-ins and bureau.
When it comes to what type of coffee table book to style in the living room, I always lean towards interiors. For one, they speak to my personal interests, whilst also providing a neutral backdrop to the rest of the styling that I incorporate.

The Kitchen.
You may think that you can’t really style coffee table books in the kitchen. However, to me, cookbooks are the coffee table books of the most utilised room in your home. Cookbooks speak to your taste, dishes you may have picked up on your travels and personal home comforts.
When it comes to styling them, I love a small built-in to display some of the ones you use on a daily basis. A couple piled up on the counter side is also a great way to add height to an additional styling area.

The Primary Bedroom.
A room that doesn’t get a lot of face time on Instagram, but is one of my favourite places to style coffee table books is the primary bedroom. For me, the bedroom is all about escapism and those are the type of books I like to decorate with. Travel books always inspire me or remind me of the travels that I’ve been on, I love them in a primary bedroom to allow you to dream big at the end of a hard day’s work.
When it comes to styling, I like to pile them up on dressers or on top or underneath bedside tables.
