7 Ways to Style Coffee Table Books
Simple Ways to Incorporate Coffee Table Books into Your Home…
If you’re new to the blog, I love coffee table books. I love to use them within my interior decor, it’s so easy to style coffee table books. Truthfully, I use them pretty much in every room in our home. Not only do they provide inspiration, but they are also a great way to add height to a styling moment.
The possibilities are endless when it comes to how to style coffee table books in your home, these are my top seven ways in which I make them shine in my home.
On the Coffee Table.
The place I style my coffee table books the most is on my coffee table. It’s a styling moment that is featured heavily on my Instagram Feed. They tell a story of the space and the people living in it. I love to do a stack, centered on a long coffee table. They help to bring height to decorative objects, candles, statues, etc. Something else I love to do is to leave one open to a page, one that speaks to me or has a fabulous image.
In Built- Ins.
I love styling coffee table books within built-ins. They help to fill gaps, it’s one of the first things I place when I start styling shelves. I like to mix how I stack them, vertically or horizontally depending on the space. Something else I like to do is to stack similar coloured spines together for a cohesive look.
On the Nightstand.
The nightstand is another great place to style coffee table books. They help fill a blank space, especially at the bottom of the nightstand. For me, I stack a couple (always in a group of three) on our bottom shelf, but you could add height to a lamp with them on the top shelf.
On Top of a Dresser.
Another area in your bedroom where you can style coffee table books. Persoanlly, I like to style fashion books on my dresser, I like to place certain subjects within certain areas in your home. Again, I like to add height to a space, particularly for jewellery or certain outfit accessories, like sunglasses.
Within an Entryway.
An entryway is a great place to have coffee table books. They are a great way of speaking about you and your interests without you having to say anything. I love design books, but you can go further. How about some gardening books or ones on fashion? If you have a large enough table, having one open in an entryway would be a great styling moment.
In the Kitchen.
The kitchen is where your cook books live, which is pretty much the sister of the coffee table books. I tend to hide most of mine, keeping a few with the prettiest spines out for people to see. Something else I like to style in our kitchen is entertaining books, anything on gatherings and parties. Our kitchen is soon going to be host to a dining table so I want to pay homage to both these areas through how I style coffee table books.
On a Side Table.
Finally, a simple styling moment. A side table is a great place for a few coffee table books, it helps to add height to a side lamp or decorative item. It’s also a convenient location to grab and read when you have an hour to yourself to sit back and read.
