Decorating My Home for Autumn

The Start of My Seasonal Styling…

I’m so excited to show off how I’ve styled my home for Autumn. I love styling for the seasons and it all really starts in October with Halloween. Each year, it keeps getting bigger and better and I finally feel like I’ve got my living room perfected for the years to come. I can’t wait for next year to move onto other rooms in the house.

When it came to styling my home for Autumn I really wanted to embrace a little Fall colour without steering too far off from the neutral decor that is throughout my home. For this, I decided to stick the oranges of the season, with a little monochromatic. The effect is subtle but beautiful. I just love what I created…

First off, let’s go with the bats. I have seen this on Pinterest in a number of Fall decorated homes and knew I wanted to create something similar in my home. I wanted them scattered across my fireplace mantle as if coming out of the pumpkins.

The pumpkins are where the main pops of colour come from, freshly picked from the pumpkin patch. I wanted a pair at the bottom and a couple of munchkins up top. Next to these are some tapered candles, of course in black to go with the theme of the season. These candlesticks are gorgeous and I’m looking forward to using them for my Christmas decor this year.

The final thing is the pampas grass. Faux florals are a great way to introducing a touch of Autumn into your home, and this bouquet in my DIY faux stone vase is the perfect way to display them. I love the natural colour of the stems, they are perfect for that touch without steering too far from my usual decor.

Other subtle Autumnal decors I have throughout the home are a couple of blankets (I’m in love with by bat blanket that I found for an absolute steal). I also have a number of fall scented candles that scent our home perfectly.

I’m so happy with how I’ve styled my home and I cannot wait to get started for Christmas in a couple of weeks.
