Creating the Farmhouse Look in Your Home…
The farmhouse look is not one that is familiar in the UK but is slowly coming more popular. It’s really started with the likes of Studio McGee and Amber Interiors, the mixture of vintage with modern. Pillows can really help you to create the farmhouse look. It’s that mixture of block colours and prints, in neutrals with a hint of colour.
When it came to my living room makeover, I started to incorporated the farmhouse look into my interiors. I really wanted to mix the different colours and textures. Something that I’ve spoken about many times in my interior posts. It started with this floral print pillow, which was an investment but worth it. From there it became easy, grabbing some more neutrals, and a few more prints,
Moving onto our primary bedroom and giving our bed a refresh, I knew I wanted to get some great pillows to create the farmhouse look in this room. So I went with this green leaf pillow, anchoring the bed with two.
INCORPORATING MORE PILLOWS INTO MY HOME.
Now, the plan is to add more to our home. I’ve added a couple to our new bench as part of the garden makeover. I really want to add a couple of summer pillows to the collection. However, I think this might have to wait until next year, whilst we save the pennies. The next main one is to get a large lumbar for our bed. A possible DIY project coming to you very soon.
