A Fruity Drink to Enjoy this Summer…
To be honest, I’m not a fan of watermelon. However, a watermelon margarita is right up my street! You lovely lot have been loving my cocktail reels on Instagram, which has spurred me on to try more. This watermelon margarita is so refreshing, light and easy to drink.
These are great for summer (I feel like I say this about all my cocktails recently). And due to the size of the fruit, you can make a pitcher of these that you can serve at a party or an outdoor dinner in the garden. I cannot wait to save these for my friends this summer.
Fancy making these yourself? Here’s my watermelon margarita recipe…
For this cocktail, you’ll need the following:
2 cups of watermelon, cubed
Juice of half a lime
Lime flavoured tonic water
Lime wedges & pink salt, crushed
Add your watermelon to a blender and pulse till smooth. Run a lime wedge around the edge of your glass and cover in salt. Place ice cubes to a glass and add your watermelon. Next, add your tequila, Cointreau and lime juice. Give everything a good stir and top up your glass with tonic water. Serve with some fresh mint and enjoy!
