Light Jackets to Wear This Spring
My Go-To Piece for This Season…
With the weather becoming much nicer (except for this week), I’m starting to look at my wardrobe and things that I need, particularly light jackets. In the UK next week, we are going to be allowed to finally go to restaurants, as long as we dine outside. This means looking at our going-out outfits in a new light.
It’s going to be all about light jackets that we can throw over our outfits to keep the chill off us, but aren’t going to be too heavy that you start sweating. So goodbye to my wool coats and hello to light dusters and trench coats. I’m looking for very light cotton and silks that I know are going to look great with my wardrobe. This checked drape coat that I recently picked up is perfect! It goes well with my jeans and tees and I know it will look great with my dresses.
Something else I’m looking to add is this drape coat, it’s available in some neutral colours (I want to add all of them to my wardrobe!) so I just know it will go with everything! And it won’t go to waste. As I like to cover up in the summer (I’m deadly afraid of sun damage to my skin) I know that I’m going to wear these into the summer here in the UK. We don’t get super hot weather like some places in the world. So on days when it’s going to be a little chilly, you know I’m going to be throwing on a light jacket.
