Incorporating Meaningful Accents in Your Home
Those Finishing TOUCHES YOUR HOME NEEDS…
Incorporating meaningful accents throughout your home takes it from lovely to amazing. Adding elements that showcase what’s important to you, your interests and a little about who you are into your space is the step you need to take when it comes to personal styling.
I always take such care and attention when it comes to this step. And yet, it comes very naturally as it’s personal to you. Over the years I’ve played and experimented with different methods of incorporating meaningful accents in my home. I have a few tips that I think will help you on your design journey. Here are a few ways that you can incorporate meaningful accents into your home…
ADD OBJECTS TO STYLE YOUR ROOM.
Statement-making objects are the key to bringing more dimension to a vignette. Striking doesn’t mean sculptural. It can be something as simple as shells you picked up on your holiday, or a frame you were gifted. If it means something to you, it will become a conversation starter.

FRAME PHOTOGRAPHS.
This is something that I didn’t do much of but since I have, it’s made a world of difference to my home. Having some photographs of special moments and friendly faces has just elevated this home and made it such an exciting welcoming space to be in. If I ever need a bit of cheering up, I just need to change my head to my shelving unit. An area you’ve been loving on my Instagram feed.
When it comes to photo frames, ensure that no two are matching. By having that mix and matched look, it gives your home a little something. As if you’ve been to vintage stores or flea markets and grabbing frames as and when you need them.
LEAVE OUT COFFEE TABLE BOOKS.
I will always preach about my love for coffee table books and the difference they will make to your home. Therefore, it’s no surprise that this is one of my tips for incorporating meaningful accents into your home. Coffee table books can be a window to who you are. They can say something about you before you even need to speak. I love having a couple of books stacked up, to help create height within styling.
Another great tip is to leave one open, on a random page, on your coffee table. Add a pair of glasses on top for that added bit of styling.
