Planning a Simple NYE Celebration at Home

A Different Way of Celebrating this Year…

This year, everyone’s NYE celebration is looking different for everyone this year. For many of us, we will be having a quiet one at home, especially in the UK. For me personally, my husband and I have been doing an at-home NYE celebration for a long time. Nights on the town are way behind us. I love NYE, it’s such a magical night. I love celebrating in the new year, with sparkles and dressing in something nice.

For our NYE celebration, we always go a little out. Usually, we will do a Dine-In deal from one of our local supermarkets. However, this year we have decided to mix it up. We love a cheese board in this house, it’s one of our favourite meals. We are also going to add some party bits, nibbles that all go in the oven at the same time for us to snack on throughout the evening.

Of course, no NYE celebration can be completed without some sparkles. Even Lee, who doesn’t usually like champagne will have a glass or two on this evening. We will, of course, pick a bottle from the champagne rack. Especially this year, we want to ring in 2021 in style.

For outfits, we like to get dressed up but be comfortable. This either means a lovely loose dress or a smart top with leggings for myself. My husband will go for a shirt with jeans, as you will most likely see on my Instagram. Even though we are not going anywhere, it’s nice to get a little dressed up and welcome the new year in style.
