My New Working From Home Space…
Finally! I’m happy to reveal my new home office setup in my living room. I’ve been teasing it on Instagram and I’m so happy I can finally show off the pieces that I used to create this space. In all honesty, this makeover could not have been achieved without the help of Maison Du Monde. When they contacted me wanting to help me with a few room makeovers, I was completely honoured. As I’ve spoken about over on my YouTube channel, my current home office setup was in desperate need of a revamp, so this collaboration came at the perfect time.
Maison Du Monde has some fabulous pieces of furniture. Quality, stylish pieces that you know are going to stand the test of time and make your home even more gorgeous than it is. With all this in mind, it took me a while to decide on the perfect desk. There were just far too many lovely ones to choose from! However, when I found this gorgeous marble and acacia wood desk, I know it was the one for my home. I’ve been wanting to bring in warmer wood tones into my home. The marble top with brass accents continues to bring in that glam and lightness that I’m fond of. Though dark, it’s still very neutral, so it continues to go with my interior style.
Every desk needs a good chair. For my home office setup, I went with this french style cane dining chair. I wanted to bring in some black tones into my interiors, along with a little bit of style. This chair is the perfect fit with this desk. Plus, it’s very comfortable to sit at, which is the most important thing.
THE FINAL FINISHING TOUCHES.
The remaining bits to complete the home office set were a mixture of practical items along with decor. For decor, I wanted to stack some coffee table books along with this fabulous vase from Maison Du Monde. The next is one the lines of being both practical and decor, a Lumbar cushion. Not only does this one look fabulous on the chair but it provides great back support whilst I’m working.
In terms of practical items, it was a case of new computer equipment. A new keyboard, mouse, mouse mat and laptop stand (great for getting your laptop at the right height so your neck doesn’t hurt). All pieces that help me be a boss lady in my job, along with being more productive with my blogging work.
I simply love my new home office setup, I’m enjoying getting so much more done. This change, this creation of an ‘adulting’ home office was the lease of life I needed to create a beautiful working space.
