Giving Your Home That Much Needed Makeover…

As part of my rental kitchen makeover, I knew that I wanted to give my backsplash a makeover and cover it in peel & stick tiles. This backsplash was one of the areas I hated the most but needed a quick fix for it. Lucky for me as a renter, there are so many options in peel and stick tiles for me to choose from. However, I couldn’t find the right pattern or the quality that I was looking for in order to give my kitchen that much-needed makeover.

Thankfully, I found the most gorgeous print for tiles from Home Art Stickers. This blue and white geometric print was perfect for brightening up the backsplash and creating some interest in this section of the kitchen. What was even better was the number of positive reviews that there were on the quality and long-lasting power of them. As soon as I read these I knew these would be the tiles for me, and I was so grateful that they were willing to work with me as part of my rental home makeover.

As soon as they arrived I knew I had made a perfect choice. Once all the DIY and painting was done, it was time to get tiling. As you can see from my YouTube vlog of the kitchen makeover, they went on with such ease. It honestly took me no time at all to install. In fact, the part that took the most time was figuring out the pattern! The perfectionist in me wanted to make sure this was absolutely on point!

BEST PRACTICES FOR APPLYING PEEL & STICK TILES.

The key I found with placing these tiles was to take my time and not be too afraid when sticking them down. Prior to placing the peel and stick tiles, you want to make sure you’ve cleaned your surfaces completely. I did mine about half an hour before to make sure that they were clean and dried prior to installing them. You can use a flat surface to brush them down to make sure they are nice and smooth, but honestly, these are so good that you can simply wipe them with your hand for a smooth finish.

One thing I would also recommend is to try and not instal them too much over grouting, this can reduce the adhesiveness of the sticker. However, I’m so confident in the quality and feel of them that I know these are going to stand the test of time in our kitchen.
