A QUICK SUMMARY OF THE BEAUTY PRODUCTS THAT I ADORE…

Though I wouldn’t say I am a beauty person, there are some products that are my ride or die. Over the last few years, I’ve found some products that I absolutely adore and could not imagine in my life. It’s taken a while to get there, but everything that I’m about to summarise in this post are beauty products that I know will be in my life for years to come.

So here is a quick breakdown of beauty products that are my ride or die, things that I will always continue to invest in…

SKINCARE.

I just adore skincare and would happily spend all my money in this category. Much like building a house, you have to invest in the foundations, otherwise, the decor will never look good. For me, this is my moisturiser. I have really dry, sensitive skin, so finding the perfect moisturiser has been a life-long mission. The Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturiser is the one for me. This big bottle lasts me such a long time. The formula itself is light but packs a punch. My skin feels smooth and soft, giving me the perfect canvas for the day ahead.

Another thing is my SPF. Within this last year, there has not gone a day where I’ve not put on SPF, even if I’m not leaving the house (you never know). The Body Shop Skin Defence is SPF 50+ so I know I’m protected when I’m out and about. It’s not gloopy and keeps my face smooth and supple to the touch. A great canvas for applying makeup on top of.

Most recently, I’ve discovered a new vitamin C and hyaluronic acid that has made such a difference to my skin. The Glossier Super Bounce is one of the best hyaluronic acids that I’ve ever tried. There’s none of that stickiness you get with other serums and you barely have to use any to get results. The Glossier Super Glow has completely changed the way my skincare looks. I swear this is the product that has helped my skin to look energised, brightened and glowing. Again, a small drop and my skin are ready to rock! I barely have to wear foundation, it’s now become a special occasion to put on a full face and I’m really okay for that.

HAIRCARE.

My haircare has been a journey as I’ve been deciding what I want to do with it. I’ve finally had it cut and coloured after a while, but now I’m feeling that I want to grow it out and go long. As long as I can go! Regardless of length, there’s a beauty product range that I’ve been loving, and so has my hair. Kristin Ess is just a great brand to buy. All the products look so stylish and they actually work. I love using their Assist Blow Dry Mist, it helps set my hair and makes it last longer in-between washes. If you’re in need of thicker, fuller hair like myself, then you’re going to love their Instant Lift Thickening Spray. Just a few pumps and my hair has volume after blow-drying. They have made such a difference to my hair and I cannot wait to see more of their products introduced to the UK market.

NAILS.

I made a decision a long time ago that I was only going to use one brand of nail polish for the rest of my life. I don’t always invest in my nails (as in painting them all the time) but when I do, there’s only one brand that I go for. Essie is my go-to for nail polish. They have some great shades that will always be classics and will stand the test of time. As someone who has a classic, simple style, I only wear three colours on my nails. My go-to nude is Essie Not Just a Pretty Face. A lovely nude that compliments my skin. My most trusted red is Essie Playing Koi. It’s the perfect orangey-red that suits my skin tone and looks fantastic. I always feel classy when I wear it. Finally, as we head into winter, I love to go for Essie Angora Cardi. I nice dark nail that gives me that moody vibe during the winter months.

To top it all off (literally), I will finish each mani session with the Essie Couture Clear Nail Polish Top Coat. This gives you a gel-like finish and helps my colour last longer.

MAKEUP.

As I’ve previously mentioned, I’m not really wearing a lot of makeup these days. However, there are a few that I’m loving and will wear every single day. To start with, I always put on concealer (dark circles under my eyes). My most trusted in my collection is L’Oreal Paris True Match Concealer. It’s light and easy to apply and blend in, giving me that look that I’m hardly wearing anything. Next is eyebrows, I always have to them prepped and ready to go. L’Oreal Paris Brow Artist is perfect for applying. The colour is a dead match for my eyebrow hair colour and the brush on the end allows me to comb them perfectly into place.

If I do want to wear foundation, there’s only one that I’m wearing right now. Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Tinted Moisturiser is a great product that just enhances my skin. It’s so easy to apply, especially with their Full Coverage Face Brush.

FRAGRANCE.

When I was little, I set myself the goal of finding a fragrance that would be my fragrance by the time I was 30. I’m happy to report that with a few weeks to go, I have found that fragrance. Penhaligon’s Halfeti Eau de Parfum is a scent that I’ve never smelt before. Inspired by trade roots, this scent is so unique and different. Very deep but light to the nose, floral but not too in your face. I only need a few spritz’s and I’m ready to go and the scent will last all day. Though I love playing with fragrance, this will be the scent I know I will wear on a regular basis for the rest of my life.
