Because These Time Truly Call for Comfort…
With a new office at home, calls for a new uniform. This one involves no bags or shoes and calls on for pure comfort. Welcome to my new work from home uniform.
For me, I want comfort but I also want to feel smart and presentable (especially on Zoom conference calls). I find that just by having a shower and going through the motions of getting ready puts my headspace in the right mind frame to boss it at work. Though, saying that, jeans will not be making an appearance any time soon. My husband lounges around in jeans and I have no idea how he does it. They are not comfy! In terms of bottoms, my work from home uniform is mainly leggings. However, a midi skirt and this jumper dress that you see me in above has also made its way into my wardrobe. It’s so comfy and when we can go outside again, I plan to pair it with some ballet flats and sunnies in the summer.
Top wise, I’ve tried not to spend too much time in jumpers. My wardrobe is in need of a change-up for Spring, which I’m going to record for my IGTV channel (I’ve found organising time-lapses very relaxing during this time!) So I’m planning to pull my Spring/ Summer clothes out of hiding as part of my wardrobe options. Think blouses, oversized shirts and tees with coatigans. If it’s chilly, then a jumper is very much welcomed. Obviously, no shoes are part of the wardrobe options, but I have been loving big chunky socks to keep my toes warm.
So this is my work from home uniform. I’m sure you have many of these options already in your wardrobe. However, if you feel the need to treat yourself or have some of these options missing from your selections, here are some recent items that I’ve been digital-window shopping and dying to get my hands on. I’m in need of some cardigan options so I’m going to get some to add to my wardrobe. What’s your work from home uniform?
