My 2020 Goals
Heading into the roaring twenties…
You’ve probably read this many times this year, but I can’t believe we are in 2020. Every time a new year rolls around I get filled with excitement and a buzz to get things done, with my 2020 goals.
This year I’m doing something slightly different. Normally for my yearly goals, I will list a bunch of things I want to achieve and go for it. For my 2020 goals, I want to focus on three areas of my life: family, health and work. I want to set one big goal in each of these areas, along with a few mini-goals dedicated to these areas. Hopefully, this will allow me to be more focus and dedication to the goals. Last year for my yearly goals, I achieved some, but not a lot of them. This year is going to be different. I’m totally going to crush these goals and have a fantastic year ahead…
2020 FAMILY GOALS.
The main goal for my family is to spend some more time with my husband and go travelling with him. Unfortunately, most of the travel we did was to see friends and family, so we didn’t actually do any travelling for just us to getaway. We have Edinburgh in April and Paris in November. We’re hoping to fit in a few more trips away and one abroad, possibly to Europe. Unfortunately, we’re waiting until the end of January to see what happens with travel and Brexit so things are on hold at the moment, but we will be doing more getaways without fail.
Something else we have planned is more date nights, something that I’ve actually added to the budget so we don’t have any excuses not to go on them. Normally, we say we’re too tired or there’s not enough money in the budget to treat ourselves, etc. This time, no excuses, we are going to be doing some regular date nights each month.
2020 HEALTH GOALS.
Ah, health. This one is a huge one for me in 2020. Part of the goal is weight-loss (a journey I will talk about later when I’m more comfortable to talk about it) but the main priority is getting my health into tip-top shape. Most likely, this is to do with me turning 30 this year and just wanting to be in the best possible place that I can be. You will see in this Wednesday’s post about the sugar-free challenge I’m setting myself. I’m hoping this is something I can continue as a lifestyle change, with some tweaks. The main focus is to get my diet into a better place with balance. That’s the main 2020 goal.
The other side of this is fitness. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve been working out with the Sweat app and doing BBG program. I will be talking about my progress with the app and how I’ve found it. The main thing is by the end of the year, I want to be working out five days a week religiously. Personally, this is very much an achievable goal that I’m excited to take on.
2020 WORK GOALS.
As of this year, I’ll be blogging for six years, which is incredible to me. I love my blog and the community that I’ve built up here. This year I really want to take it to the next level, something that I think I say every year. But every year I want to elevate this blog each and every year. I have so many plans for the blog that I cannot wait to share with you as they happen.
I always want to start a mini adventure when it comes to a side hustle. This year, I want to do more for the renting community, along with pushing some sort of design and organising side hustle. The one thing I’m constantly asked by you lovely lot is how to decorate your rental homes or how you can curate a gorgeous home without breaking the bank. I’d love a way to create a service so that I could help you guys with your home. We shall see what the future holds.
What are your 2020 goals?
