The perfect time of year to be cosy…
I don’t like the cold, but I do love an excuse to wear knitwear. It’s that ultimate piece in your wardrobe that can be thrown on for a casual outfit but also, dressed up for a lovely dinner out. It ha been a while since I invested in knitwear. But I’m so glad that I picked up some lovely pieces in the past few weeks. Which has lead to this lovely knitwear round up.
The first was this white oversized number (see picture below). I just love the fit of it. It skims over the bits that I don’t want to show off and somehow it always makes me look longer. It’s sleek and chic- exactly what I was looking for. From there, I had to buy a few more things or rather wanted to buy. This led me to my mini H&M haul. My absolute favourite piece from this haul is this gorgeous tobacco number. I absolutely love it. As it’s slightly cropped, I was worried about where it would fall, but it’s just perfect. Again, becoming a fast firm favourite.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR KNITWEAR.
One thing that I’m starting to put more and more into practice is caring for my knitwear. I’m becoming more conscious of creating a capsule wardrobe, only investing in pieces that are going to elevate my style. This is no different when it comes to my knitwear. First things first is a pilling comb. I love my little one from The White Company. It’s so quick and easy to remove bobbling. Another thing you can invest in is a de-bobbler. I don’t have one yet, but certainly something I want to invest in.
Also, another thing to consider is the type of wash and conditioner you want to use on your knitwear. I’m investing in The Laundress for some specialist products and I can’t wait to report back to you. The first is a Wool & Cashmere Shampoo, which will help to keep its natural softness. The next is this Wool & Cashmere Spray, which is a natural moth repellent. I can’t wait to test them out and keep my knitwear looking lovely.
I hope you enjoyed my knitwear round up. If, this has inspired you to get some more knitwear into your wardrobe, here’s a little roundup of some of my other favourite pieces on the market right now…
