New Kitchen Cabinet Styling
Because every rental needs that extra bit of storage…
I can’t tell you how long I’ve been dreaming of getting this kitchen cabinet installed into our home. Ever since I saw something similar on Pinterest, I knew I wanted to add something similar to our kitchen. We have this one wall which could have housed a small dining table or more storage. Quite frankly, storage won. Within a rental property, storage few and far between so anything you can do maximises it is worth the investment. It’s not even storage per se. It’s pretty storage, open shelving or a display cabinet to house and shows off some of your prized possessions.
This cabinet itself wasn’t a huge investment. Looking sleek from the outside, this is actually a Billy Bookcase from IKEA. With some fancy glass doors. Now, originally I was aiming for all glass doors and it wasn’t until I got home that I realised that I had picked the wrong ones up. A blessing in disguise, as that bottom half now hides a multitude of sins. Anything that I simply do not want on display.
To make the kitchen cabinet even more stylish, I invested in these leather pulls from Dowsing & Reynolds. The leather adds that touch of So-Cal vibe that I want to emulate in my home, as well as being durable and stylish…
KITCHEN CABINET STYLING.
I’m so happy with the results of this kitchen cabinet styling. It houses all of my pretty kitchen items that have either been stuffed into the back of cupboards or unpacked from cardboard boxes. I simply had nowhere to put them, but now I do! The main thing I wanted to do was get rid of this ugly small cart I purchased for the original kitchen renovation. Originally, I was storing our drinks collection down the side of the freezer until we got ourselves a bar cart. Pretty soon though, it turned into a dumping ground and an absolute eyesore. Now, my prettiest drinks are on display for the world to see, while the remaining bottles are hidden on the bottom shelf. My plan is to swap them out seasonally, so come winter, I’ll be displaying my Disarano and whiskeys. As for the small gap by the side of the freezer, that now stores my reusable shopping bags. The perfect fit!.
Other main items that are stored in the cabinet is a lot of our entertaining items. A drinks dispenser, pretty champagne flutes and a cake stand. Also on there are linens, I love my collection and now I will never forget about my French linen table cloth again. Not that I have a dining table to lay it out on but you never know!
Display it loud and proud!
Other important things it stores is a lot of my plates and wares for the blog. I take pride in how I style pictures such as my recipe posts. Prior to this cabinet, I was constantly racing to find my serving dishes and pretty plate collection before the dish was ruined. Now, it’s all in one gorgeous place for me to easily grab. Which is lucky for you, as now I’m really up for making more recipe posts…
I’m just so happy with how this kitchen cabinet looks. I cannot wait to take more pictures of it, as well as more images of how the kitchen is now looking. What do you think? Do you want to see more images?
Oh this looks beautiful girl, well done!
