Because fine hair does not like volume…

I’ve had a lifelong struggle of getting my fine hair to accept volume. I have a lot of it, but because it’s like baby hair, trying to get it to do any style that is not straight is near impossible. And whilst it still takes a bit of effort to get these locks looking gorgeous, I have discovered a few amazing products that keep my hair tamed. I can’t wait to share with you my favourite hair care products for fine hair…

FAVOURITE PRODUCTS FOR FINE HAIR.

Let’s start first by washing it. Whilst I have an array of volumising shampoos and conditioner, I tend to favour cleansing products. I’m obsessed with this conditioner by Love Beauty from Boots. Their Hydrating and cleansing conditioner gives my hair a complete lift and refresh. The shea butter and sandalwood oil smell amazing! Plus, it’s vegan-friendly and cruelty-free so you feel like you’re doing a little something for the plant and still looking fabulous!

Next is the styling products. I use to think that the more I put in, the more my hair would be weighed down. However, I was simply using the wrong products. I’m now currently addicted to a thickening spray. Right now, I love this Volumising Mist by IGK. Who knew that Nordic cotton was so good for fine hair! Personally, you only need a little on wet hair. It makes such a difference.

Also, I love this Air Dry Creme by Kristin Ess. It’s perfect for a Sunday wash. You leave it in and let the air dry take its natural course. It smells great and gives your hair texture and shine.

DRYING TECHNIQUE.

When it comes to drying your hair, I do it upside down. Just flip your hair and blast it with that heat. Let that gravity and product take its natural course. If I really want to spend time on it, I do use a roller brush. The biggest one I can get my hands on at the shop. It’s taken a few years but I’ve become a pro at the blowdry, in my professional opinion.

After drying, it’s time for a texturising spray. I’m completely obsessed with this Beach Club Volumizing Spray by IGK. This amazing spray gives my hair some grit without it feeling dirty and the volume I’ve been asking for. However, be sure to not to complete dose your hair in it. No one want’s that much texture in their hair. I’m also a fan of the dry shampoo trick, even on clean hair. Dry shampoo is great for giving volume, it’s a fine hair girls best friend, especially on day two hair. My absolute favourite brand is Colab Dry Shampoo, and their original scent is my favourite.

What products do you use on your fine hair?
