2019 March Goals

And just like that, it was March…

I feel like I say this every year, but the time if flowing by! It’s already March and the year is zipping by. March is usually my quiet month, but this year it’s kind of all happening at once. Today as you’re reading this, my car is having it’s MOT so please, pray for me and Margot that everything is all okay! There’s also a few events and collaborations that I’m working on this month. Overall a very busy and grown-up month.

For my 2019 March goals, I’m taking advantage of it being a busy month and having only three goals. For me, I feel its better to just focus down on these few areas and kick butt with what I want to achieve this month.

With this in mind, here are my 2019 March goals…

My 2019 March goals…
SAVE, SAVE, SAVE!

As I’ve mentioned I’ve got my MOT and service on my car to pay for this month. Next month, I’ve got my car insurance renewal, my anniversary to celebrate and many, many other things. So this month, I’m hoping to put as much money as I can away this month. It will just make me feel calmer and more secure. I’ve started putting any leftover pennies in my account into saves every other day (e.g. if my balance is £1,456.54, I’m putting that 54p into savings). Fingers crossed that those pennies don’t disappear before the month is up!

GIVE UP SUGAR.

I am an absolute sugar addict. And it’s getting the worse of me. They say that it takes 60 days for a habit to form, so I’ve decided for lent that I am going to give up sugar. Obviously going to go longer than how long lent is for, so this is also an April goal too. I’m not going deny myself goodies in the future, but right now I need to prove to myself that I can do it. I’ve been looking at this book on Amazon. And of course, Davina’s got some advice on this subject too. Wish me luck.

THROW MYSELF INTO IMPROVING ON MY SKILLS.

In my job, I’ve been improving my knowledge of SEO. So far, I’m loving it (I know, I’m a dork and a data nerd). So this month, I’d love to further improve my knowledge in these areas, along with with PPC and all that jazz. I’ve been looking at courses I want to invest in and I’m carving out time in my evenings to take half an hour to read an article or participate in a webinar. I love improving the knowledge that I have, it’s the only way to keep sharp and moving forward.

Personally, I’ve been wanted to improve on my French-speaking skills. I would say I’m fairly okay speaking French. I can get myself from A to B and order a coffee and sort out a hotel reservation. So as part of my March goals, I’ve been using the Duolingo app spending five mins in the evening working on some exercises. My aim is to speak French fluently by the time I’m 30 (which is next year), so starting early can’t hurt right?
