Favourite Finds from Homesense.
Where all the bargains live…
If someone asked me which stores were my favourite for homewares, I would have to say Homesense is up there in the top five. It’s the home of those secret finds and some of my most asked about decor pieces are from there.
I live by rules when it comes to shopping at Homesense. First is budget, I always set myself a limit per item. If an item goes over that price, I’m not buying it. Second is looking for certain items in certain stores. I’m lucky that I have three stores within easy reach of me here in Leeds. The City Centre one is great for baskets, kitchenware and serving ware. The Guiseley store is a must for rugs, soft furnishings and candles. Finally, the one near Ikea is great for organisation and storage.
I like to think I’ve been very careful with my Homesense purchases. I’m not buying a bargain for the sake of buying it. So here are my favourite pieces that I have curated over the years and brought into my home…
OMBRE MUGS.
I absolutely love these mugs. They are almost identical to ones that Anthropologie had at the time which were about £18 each. These were £3.99. The colour is gorgeous, the navy and the gold work perfectly together and fit into my home’s decor. Plus, they are a great size, you get a proper cuppa out of one of these!
SPECKLED PLANT POT.
This was a Christmas find that I saw and I knew I had to have. I didn’t have a plant in mind for it, but I just knew it would work perfectly in my home. Again, it looks Anthropologie like but only paid about a fiver for it. It’s now home to one of my newest plant babies on my coffee table and I love it! I’m doing a move around with the living room soon so I’m excited to see where it’s next new home will be…
MARBLE COASTERS.
I think these were my first Homesense purchases. Another one where I saw them and knew I would regret if I didn’t get them. They were £4- such a steal! They live on my coffee table and I’m constantly using them across the house to protect my surfaces. If you see any coasters that you absolutely love in Homesense, pick them up straight away. I promise you, you won’t regret it.
VOGUE BOOKS.
I have purchased so many coffee table books from Homesense. If you can it’s worth waiting a bit to see if you can get them in store for a third of the price. With these Vogue on books, they are between £15- £20 on Amazon. I would love the whole collection, but I know that’s not possible at that price. In Homesense I can get them for about a fiver, so it means I can build up my collection slowly but surely. It feels my need to consume fashion knowledge and makes my bookshelf look really purdy!
VASES & ORNAMENTS.
I’m obsessed with this vase, I’ve never seen anything like it. It stores all my fake plants, which are also from Homesense. I can’t remember how much it was, but it was definitely under a tenner. And it feels and looks like it should cost a lot more. I get so many compliments about it from any guests coming into my home.
My fabulous giraffe is my newest purchase and I’m in love with him! Henry is gorgeous! He fits in so well with his surroundings, whilst also adding some interest. Currently sat on my mantle, I have a feeling hes’s not moving anytime soon.
WOVEN BASKETS.
I live for these types of woven baskets. The one that my fiddle fig leaf tree sits in gives me Californian vibes. They are perfect for storing plants or throwing cushions and blankets in for storage. They are gorgeous and practical, ticks all the boxes.
CUSHIONS & THROWS.
My cushions on my sofa are probably my most expensive buys from Homesense. But I spotted them on a influencers Instagram feed and knew I had to have them. They were exactly what I was looking for, a neutral with a hint of colour.
The throw is my favourite thing to curl up in this winter time. Snowy is just so cosy! It’s perfect combination of white with a hint of brown. A nice neautral that fits my home aesthetic. Heaven in a blanket!
What are your favourite purchases you’ve brought from Homesense?
I wish that there was a Home Sense near where I lived!
