Things to Do This August Bank Holiday Weekend
Guys, this is it! This is our last Bank Holiday Weekend of the year! For me, this signals that summer is over and we’re moving towards the end of the year. The next time we’ll have off from work is Christmas which I’m so looking forward to! Personally, I prefer Autumn to any other season. Don’t get me wrong, the heatwave we had was a rather lovely treat. But the weather has started to turn. As soon as I put my jumpers away, it’s time to bring them back out.
Looking at the weather forecast, it seems we’re going to have nice weather this weekend. It’s not going to be great, but it’s not going to be tipping it down either. So with this being our last Bank Holiday Weekend, here are a few things you can get up to this three-day weekend…
Things to get up to this bank holiday weekend…
BBQ! This may be the last lovely weekend, so why not go out with a bang. Grab a load of friends, all the lovely bbq food you can grab (Aldi have the best range!) and get cracking. If our little terrace courtyard would allow, I would also be getting out our fire pit and we’d have a lovely lazy evening listening to music and drinking some lovely cocktails. Absolute perfection.
Visit a local town. Since moving away from the city centre, I realise how nearby I am to some lovely Yorkshire towns and villages. So why not take advantage of having an extra day off and visit a nearby place that you’ve always wanted to go to. Have a wander around, visit somewhere nice for some food. Maybe even a bit of shopping will happen. Plus, think of the gram and what lovely pictures you could get for your feed.
Wardrobe clean out. One thing I’ll definitely be doing this weekend. With the hot weather waving goodbye to us, it’s time for me to put my summer clothes away and introduce wool back into my wardrobe. It’s a great weekend job and, you can reward yourself with a bit of a shopping spree afterwards. Win, win in my opinion.
Complete a DIY project. You’ve got three days all to yourself. Why not take advantage of this and do the DIY you’ve been wanting to do for ages. My DIY mid-century pot stand can be done in a weekend and I know you’ll love it. Pinterest is full of DIY ideas that will keep you occupied. Let’s get crafty this weekend!
Pamper time! It’s a little last minute, but why not see if you can get a deal on a day spa pass? I would love to take the opportunity of the three-day weekend and have a bit of a spa break. I guarantee if you ask, you’ll find a friend who will absolutely go with you. Get yourself a back massage and have some TLC. Spa’s are also the perfect opportunity to have a mini digital-detox and give your mind a bit of peace and quiet.
Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend guys. I’ve cheekily got myself a FOUR day weekend! So, I’ll be taking full advantage of this doing something fun.
