Welcome to my capsule makeup collection! After clearing out my dressing table the other week, I really refined down the makeup that I use every day. In fact, the makeup that I use all the time, not just for work but also for the evenings and weekends. I had already refined down my nail polish collection, skincare and I’m soon going to be working on my wardrobe.
I’m quite liking this capsule life. It makes everything easy and simple. My getting ready routine has shrunk in time by so much, as I don’t have to worry about what goes with what. Everything just goes with everything. I’m one happy bunny. I would like to point out this is not all of it. The above is what I’m reaching for on an everyday basis. My capsule makeup collection also includes a selection of other makeup products that can transfer me from day to night. But also a few extra eyeshadow palettes. All though, in very similar neutrals that go with all the makeup I have.
So, here are the products that are part of my everyday capsule makeup collection…
My Capsule Makeup Collection
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Illumination SPF 50+. A new foundation I brought, and I’m absolutely loving it. It’s a lightweight, but still has a lot of coverage, without completely covering my freckles and moles. I went for the illumination one as I have dry/ dehydrated skin, so I wanted a little extra moisture.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. The concealer I’ve been using forever. I don’t think this will change anytime soon.
L’Oreal Paris Brow Artist Plumper. Again, another product I’ve been using forever. It makes my eyebrows look natural and tamed. It adds a little colour without looking fake. They also help make them somewhat presentable even when they are a little slug-like. Like they are now.
Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat Palette. My new favourite palette at the moment. I’ll soon be changing it over to the Naked 2 Palette as it’s now becoming winter, but whilst it still feels like Autumn, I’ll be holding onto the orange and warm tones.
L’Oreal Paris Miss Baby Roll Mascara. A new mascara. I wanted something that gave me volume but didn’t look clunky and could work for both day and night. So far it’s holding up. It’s a shame it doesn’t come in brown, black is okay but can sometimes be too heavy for a blonde like me. But for now, it will do.
Simple, Refine and Elegant
Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm. The only cheek colour I’ve been using for the past five years. I absolutely love it. I can build up as much coverage as I can (if I choose to). It gives me a nice healthy glow without it being too obvious.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter. My absolute favourite highlighter. Gives me a nice glowy finish without it being too much.
Glossier Skin & Lip Balm Dotcom. My one and only lip balm. It’s great for taking care of my lips, but also perfect for other dry areas. It’s going to be my go-to product for this winter.
Mac Matte Lipstick Velvet Teddy. My everyday lipstick, which I regrettably cannot find anywhere right now. It’s a perfect everyday nude colour. I also love Mehr Matte Lipstick, which is slightly darker but still a lovely nude. For reds, my new go-to is Glossier’s Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick in Zip. It’s the perfect colour for my fair skin. The only lipliner that I’m using right now is Charlotte Tilbury in Pillow Talk. I’m desperate to get my hands on the lipstick version as it’s THE perfect nude.
