I know it is a little early to mention the C word, but I had to let you know about this festive treat before people snap it up…
As a general life rule, I refuse to accept the Christmas spirit until the 24 November at the very earliest (my birthday is the 23 and as a winter baby, your birthday tends to be an after thought if you are within 40 days of being the big day).
However for Browns, I am making a little exception. I was invited down last week to a taster session of their Christmas menu and to learn more about the festive offer they can accommodate for your work Christmas party. Not wanting to be a scrooge, I grabbed Becca (who somehow is always gets the best plus one invitations) and we headed down to The Headrow to find out more.
Browns is a long standing establishment in Leeds, close to City Hall and the art gallery. They offer elegant dining options and the best afternoon tea, so expectations where high when we arrived. Greeted with a glass of bubbly (and then offered a mulled wine to go with it- these waiters knew their audience!) we ooo-ed and arrr-ed at the winter decorations and quickly make plans for a friends Christmas dinner.
The food is very much traditional of what you would expect at Christmas (why have it any other way?!) but their offers are a pretty sweet, and good value for money. You have a variety of choices, from two courses for £20.95 to five course for £64.95, you will not be stuck for choice! I am thinking of actually taking them up on one of their offers for my birthday- double the Christmas dinner, double the fun (double the gym sessions though….) The menu starts from 14 November so get your reservation in while you can!
More Christmas post coming up in December (it’s going to be so festive). For now, sit back and enjoy the last few days of summer we have left.
