L did all the researching for the majority of the food places we went to (I took over Brunch) and this was one of the places on his list that we had no choice and had to go! Recommended by his boss who visits Barcelona all the time, Caravelle can be found on Carrer Pintor Fortuny (just off Les Rambles). It’s a hidden gem and I don’t think a lot of tourist know about it unless they are told. Whilst L’s focus was on the coffee (from Barcelona based rosters Nomad) their tapas selection was a pleasant surprise. But don’t just take my word for it, just look at the photographs….
All the food was cooked to perfection. The Bloody Mary mussels were delicious and the squid taco was amazing!! If you come to Barcelona you have to try the seafood, the harbor is right there, you would be silly not too!!
I think I went a little loopy during the evening- it was one of the first nights in the city and the heat was getting to me. That, or it could be the cocktails I drank also…
He was literally like this for about 10 minutes- totally taking the piss out of me. So annoying waiting for him to finish taking pictures, all so I can have a sip!!
The staff are super lovely and are happy to help you out with ordering and giving excellent advice on what the best dishes are. This and the brunch menu are way we came back for a second and third time while we were in Barcelona (brunch post coming sooooooon!)
Thank you again to Caravelle for the delicious dinner. Be sure to check out my Instagram for more food photos from Barcelona.
